Proposition 8 - a Bill for California...

Submitted by Liam on Mon, 11/17/2008 - 15:33

Proposition 8, a bill trying to be passed in california outlawing Gay marriage, and or Civil Union... A American Constitutional right clearly saying we all have the right to marry. Becasue it does not say man and women, but it doesn't say not man and man, or woman and woman.. So that is why this is so contraversial. That and its taking place in california due to the largest population of gays living there.. Honesly I believe in the Constitution. And The Bill of Rights. So Honestly I do believe that they have the right to be able to marry. But to make certain crowds happy. I believe we should have them able to have a Civil Union. The difference is were marriage is a biblical connection between man and woman. Civil Union is a legal Government approved liscence to share finances..
So why not give Gays and Lesbians the right that we have to share finances with our wifes or if you are women your husbands... That is my argument.. Gays and Lesbians are people like you and me, xept for the attraction to the samesex. And honestly if we are all children of god, and created by god. Why do people persicute, and be judgemental of such things as this when it should be more important to prevent adultry and divorse. For Adultry is stated in the bible many times, while the man and woman being married is only mentioned once. Clearly God wants us to focus more on the Hate we cause, rather than the Love that just might help, and make people feel better..

My Arhuement-
-Gays & Lesbians are people too.
-The Divorse & Adultry rate is raising in percentage accross this great nation. And we're ignoring it.
-God Created Gays & Lesbians just as he created us.
-God clearly does not want us to commit adultry, yet its on the rise.
-It is debatable whether it says that gays & Lesbians cannot Marry. But who says they can't just have a civil union?
-why are some of us to focused on civil Unions and Marriages between two people created by God and who clearly love each other.
and not focused on something more important like adultry. The sin that is commited the most in this great nation...

Those are my questions, & I am sure they are others as well...
Stop worrying about their marriage, and start worrying about your own!!!!

Thanks,
Liam
